Do you check tradespeople's identity, qualifications or DBS?
No. Public liability insurance is the only check we carry out — we check the policy and its expiry date, and if cover lapses the platform blocks that tradesperson from taking new work automatically. We ask whether a tradesperson holds a basic DBS certificate and display what they tell us, but we do not check it. We do not check identity or qualifications either: Get Trady is a marketplace, not a contractor, and tradespeople are independent businesses responsible for their own registrations and compliance.
What if I am not happy with the work?
Get Trady will review the issue and explain the available next steps.
When do I pay?
Payment terms will be shown clearly before any booking is confirmed.
Are workers insured?
Yes — every tradesperson holds £1M public liability insurance, verified before they can take work. If their cover lapses, the platform blocks them from new jobs automatically.
