What you'll need
Seven steps: your trade, the areas you cover, your insurance, and how you like to work. Applications are reviewed manually, and we don't approve every applicant.
A basic DBS certificate is optional. We ask whether you hold one and show what you tell us on your profile — we do not check it, and it does not affect the work you are offered. Some customers like to see one; you apply for it yourself (£21.50, anyone can get one) at gov.uk. The one thing you do need is valid public liability insurance of at least £1M — that is the only credential we check.
